4-IN-1 LOADER STYLE BUCKET

4-IN-1 LOADER STYLE BUCKET

Learn more about the 4-in-1 Loader Bucket

Norm Engineering’s 4‑in‑1 Loader Bucket is designed and manufactured in Australia to handle tough conditions. Built for skid steer and compact track loaders, it performs multiple functions including dozing, grading, grabbing and loading, all without changing attachments. It’s the reliable all‑round bucket trusted across construction, landscaping and agricultural sites.

What A 4‑in‑1 Loader Bucket Does

A 4‑in‑1 opens and closes to act as a dozer blade, a clam‑style grab and a standard bucket for loading and dumping. The wide jaw opening makes it easier to discharge material and the lock valve helps prevent unintended jaw opening while you’re working. Choose smooth edges or teeth to match material and ground conditions.

Key Features

  • Heavy‑Duty Flat Floor: Added strength and easier filling/emptying.
  • Reinforced Pivot Area: Engineered for durability in high‑load operations.
  • Optional Cutting Edges: Front, middle and rear bolt‑on edges; tooth options available.
  • Serrated Clam Edges: Stronger grip when grabbing debris and logs.
  • Wide Opening Jaws: Faster dumping and spreading.
  • Load Guard & Visibility: Load guard design helps with clear sight to the bucket.
  • Hydraulics Ready: Supplied with hoses and machine‑specific couplings.
  • Bucket Design & Wear Plates: Robust bucket design with replaceable wear plates in high-impact areas extends working life and maintains performance on demanding jobs.
  • Serviceability: Grease points and replaceable wear components to extend service life.

Compatible with a wide range of Machines

Designed to suit leading skid steer and compact track loaders including Bobcat, Caterpillar, Case, John Deere, New Holland, ASV, Kubota, Huski, and Takeuchi models. Agricultural hitch variants are available on selected loader‑style 4‑in‑1 buckets. Our team will match the bucket to your machine’s lift capacity and hydraulics.

While designed for skid steer and track loaders, Norm Engineering also manufactures attachments for mini loaders, tractors, and selected wheel loader models to suit different worksite requirements.

Sizes, Capacities & Configurations

  • Widths: Standard options from 1730 mm to 2400 mm (model dependent).
  • Edges/Teeth: Smooth edge, GP tooth bar and bolt‑on cutting edges (front/middle/rear).
  • Plates: Reinforced side and floor plates for sand, gravel, dirt and mixed site debris.
  • Couplings: Machine‑specific couplers supplied.

The 4-in-1 loader bucket is also available in setups for general or light material handling, reducing the need for separate dump buckets or light material buckets. Each model is built for strength, capacity and clean discharge, ensuring consistent fill and empty cycles across a range of materials.

4-in-1 Loader Bucket – FAQs

What’s the difference between a 4-in-1 bucket and a high dump bucket?

A 4-in-1 bucket combines several functions (dozing, grading, grabbing, and loading) into one attachment. A high dump bucket is designed for handling light materials or large volumes that require additional dump height and reach, improving operator efficiency during loading and backfilling.

Can a 4-in-1 loader bucket be used on a wheel loader?

Norm Engineering’s 4-in-1 loader buckets are primarily designed for skid steer and track loaders. However, similar attachments are available for compact tractors and selected wheel loader models fitted with compatible couplers.

Will a 4-in-1 bucket fit my skid steer loader?

Yes. Norm Engineering’s 4-in-1 skid steer loader bucket range is built for popular machines including Bobcat, CASE, ASV and Manitou. Each model is matched to the machine’s lift capacity and hydraulic flow, so operators get the right size and performance for their loader.

What’s the advantage of a 4-in-1 skid steer bucket over a standard bucket?

A 4-in-1 skid steer bucket opens and closes hydraulically, allowing it to act as a dozer blade, grab or scraper as well as a loading bucket. This versatility saves time on site and reduces the need to change attachments between tasks.

Can I use a 4-in-1 bucket on other loaders?

These buckets are mainly designed for skid steer and compact track loaders, but versions can be built for tractors or machines with agricultural hitches. Similar designs are also available for wheel loaders and other compact machinery.

How does the design improve durability and performance?

Each bucket includes heavy-duty wear plates and a low-profile bucket design that improves operator visibility. The build quality and Australian fabrication process ensure reliable performance in demanding site conditions.

What’s the difference between a grapple bucket and a rock bucket?

A rock bucket features open bars or tynes to sift material, letting fine dirt fall through while retaining larger debris. A grapple bucket uses the same rock bucket base but includes hydraulic arms that clamp down on material for secure handling. This combination makes it ideal for site clean-up, rocky soil, and heavy farm work where both sifting and gripping are required.

How does the 4-in-1 loader bucket design improve efficiency and performance?

Each unit is built around a proven bucket design with reinforced wear plates in high-stress zones. The hydraulic clam action enhances operator control, increasing loading precision and on-site efficiency while maintaining long-term performance in demanding industry conditions.

What if I need a general purpose bucket instead?

For everyday loading and carrying, Norm Engineering also offers general purpose buckets. These general purpose (GP) bucket attachments are suited to material handling tasks where the extra features of a 4-in-1 are not required.

Can these buckets handle materials like grain or coal?

Yes. Depending on the configuration, Norm’s 4-in-1 and general purpose buckets can be used for grain, coal, sand, and other bulk materials. The smooth edges and robust shell design make them suitable for farm and light material operations as well as standard site work.

Can I use a stump bucket with my skid steer loader?

Yes. Norm Engineering’s stump buckets are built to suit most skid steer and compact track loaders. They’re designed for digging out stumps, roots and compacted soil where precise breakout force is needed.

Many operators use a stump bucket alongside a 4-in-1 loader bucket — the stump bucket for heavy digging and root removal, and the 4-in-1 for backfilling, grading and loading once the ground is cleared.
