BOILERMAKER

Darra, QLD Australia

An opportunity has become available for a Boilermaker / Fitter to join our growing Brisbane team.  

This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start available.  

General Scope of the Role:

• Repair or replacement of products and parts;
• MIG welding;
• Assemble and install hydraulic hoses & components as per engineering drawings,
• Plan a routine task for a repair or interpret engineering drawings
• Appropriate PPE is used at all times, 
• Assistant and help with various other jobs including the ability to operate, maintain and work safely with hand tools, small plant and equipment as instructed by supervisor.
• Ensure working area is uncluttered, floors are clean, dry and unobstructed
• Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate an internal customer focus to ensure accurate performance to achieve cost, quality and timeliness of service and production,
• Demonstrate the ability to perform physical/manual labouring tasks related to a welder in a safe manner.
• Follow directions given by General Manager.

Covering medium to heavy fabrication, to be successful you need to have the following;

• Trade Qualification or have been in a similar long term position
• Forklift licence
• Automotive Electrical experience would be beneficial,
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to read drawings, work to a time frame and complete tasks with a high-end finish
• Eye for detail and quality 
• Be able to read and produce from computer generated drawings 
• Hold safety in high regard 
• Attendance, punctuality and reliability is a must
• Work to a time frame and complete tasks with a high-end finish 
• Ability to follow instructions and follow through on all tasks 
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, management and team 
• Available for long term work commencing immediately (or after notice period)
