Norm Engineering Latest News
Setting up Norm Engineering as the distributor for Rototilt's tiltrotator system in Australia, proved to be a great success. “There is a great interest for the tiltrotator in Australia and we are ecstatic that we are able to offer the best product available in the world” says, John Pesch, General Manager of Norm Engineering. Through the success of the Norm Engineering/Rototilt partnership and the expansion of Norm Engineering’s business overseas, it has been a natural progression for Norm Engineering to become the Rototilt Distributor in New Zealand. With onsite training at Rototilt in Sweden, Norm Engineering has the technical knowledge to support both new and existing Rototilt customers. As a local business Norm Engineering, based in Brisbane, will offer both Australia and New Zealand outstanding service, sales, and support.
The use of tiltrotators on excavators is common in the Nordic countries, but in Australia and New Zealand interest has only begun to grow in recent years. More and more contractors are now discovering the benefits of 360° rotation and 40° tilting of their tools, as well as increased safety on the worksite and being able to do more in less time, with only one machine.
“We are really happy to continue our expansion together with Norm Engineering. For the New Zealand market this means providing the right support in terms of sales and service”, says Daniel Thomas, Export Development Manager at Rototilt Group AB.
Norm Engineering manufactures and sells earthmoving attachments for skid steers, track loaders, excavators, telehandlers, and backhoes for the Australian market, and are now entering New Zealand as well.
Norm Engineering has welcomed Nick Thompson as part of the team. Nick is based in New Zealand and has over 35 years’ industry experience.
“I am incredibly excited to be able to expand our reach with the Rototilt products in New Zealand. The collaboration so far in the Australian market has been fantastic and we look forward to offering the same great product and exceptional service in New Zealand”, says John Pesch, General Manager of Norm Engineering.

Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo 2017
Penrith Panthers, Sydney
Once again the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo was an outstanding success, bringing together dealers, suppliers and customers. The results speak for themselves as many stands are already rebooking for next year. With over 200 exhibitors this was an ideal opportunity for Norm Engineering to showcase our wide range of earthmoving attachments.
Diesel Dirt and Turf expo boasts of being “run by the industry, for the industry” - this was proven at the expo with the quality and quantity of exhibitors including many big names in the industry. Crowds from all over Australia continued to flow through the gates during the full three day period.
Nestled amongst the sites of the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo 2017, was the Norm Engineering shed. The creative design and hard work of Chris and Sydneywide Party Hire turned the Norm site into a true blue Aussie Shed, representing the Australian manufacturer. A superb effort was made by the entire Norm Engineering team from admin through to factory, sales and marketing personnel. Each person involved helped to create a site that became the talk of the expo.
Incorporated in the site was Norm’s Bar and a wide variety of Norm attachments. Norm’s bar became “THE PLACE” to be where everyone was treated as an Aussie Mate.
The relaxed country atmosphere created the perfect space and setting for our approachable friendly team to discuss, with both old and new clients, all of the Norm Engineering attachments on display, including the NEW Conveyor Bucket.
The Conveyor Bucket has been designed for back filling trenches, filling feed lots, blast holes and those hard to reach places. The conveyor bucket is able to scoop raw materials such as dirt, rocks, gravel, mulch and poultry feed etc. There are adjustable shutters on either side of the bucket which control the outflow of material. The hydraulic flow determines the speed of the conveyor belt and the distance of the material spread. Ideally suited for -Landscaping yards, contractors, mining, farming, plumbers and councils.
It was good to see many of the Norm Engineering earthmoving attachments on some of the dealers’ machines, displaying a good partnership between machine and attachment suppliers.
At the end of the day exhibitors were able to relax and network giving them a chance to reflect on the days sales and potential leads while they waited in anticipation to hear who had won the Operators challenges that day. During this time the exhibitor stand trophies and awards were announced and Norm Engineering proudly accepted the Australian Earthmoving magazine “Best stand at show” Award. This was a huge benefit to Norm Engineering as visitors flocked to site #23 & 24 to see the AWARD WINNING STAND. This gave the Norm Engineering team consisting of Norm, Chris, John & Peter the opportunity to part with their extensive knowledge and to provide solutions for all earthmoving requirements. As a family owned business it was good to see all three generations on site.
Norm Engineering was the sponsor of the 50 x $50 fuel vouchers at the Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo. Anyone seen wearing a Norm Engineering cap stood the chance of winning a $50 fuel voucher on the spot. There were some very heartfelt stories shared during these moments.
The team at Norm Engineering would like to thank everyone who visited our site. It is great to see the familiar faces of all our loyal customers and we enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people to promote our strong, reliable Aussie made products. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
